About This Role:
The Sr. Loan Assistant (SLA) is senior role with potential small team management responsibilities who will report directly to the Loan Operations Manager. The primary focus of this role is to provide operational support to our Loan Officers (LO's). The SLA will execute clerical origination tasks, data entry in the LOS, basic disclosure/re-disclosure, and phone support.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day operational support for the Loan Originations Team. Provide excellent member service in the Retail phone queue. Basic set up and disclosure/re-disclosure for all loan products including 1st lines, HELOCs, and HELOANs. Ordering of 3rd party services including, but not limited to, Appraisals, Title work, and Flood Certifications. Maintain accurate record keeping and follow compliance regulations. Work closely with processors, underwriters, and closers to help assist with lending applications. Support loan officers with file preparation. Additional clerical tasks as assigned by management.
Who You Are:
3-4 years of member service experience in a financial institution with a focus in the lending department. At least 1 year of disclosure experience with a strong comprehension of TRID compliance. NMLS Licensure is preferred. Strong PC skills. Able to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and professionally with employees, members, and the public. Attention to detail & strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and manage a loan pipeline to meet regulatory requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills must demonstrate the ability to work with members, colleagues, and superiors.

Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
