Lending Support Specialist Spero Financial Federal Credit Union Greenville, SC 29601 $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour Role Primary responsibilities include mitigating risk and potential loss to the Credit Union by ensuring accurate and timely lien perfection on non-real estate collateral loans The position also provides ongoing clerical and administrative support to the Business Development and Lending Operations departments to support operational efficiency and compliance. Major Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Consumer Title Specialist with ensuring the Credit Union receives vehicle and boat titles with lien perfection within forty-five days of the loan date. Responsible for ensuring all issues and errors related to the DMV and e-title system are resolved. Processes service requests to non-real estate liens in a timely fashion according to our established procedures. Coordinate with the Business Development Department to process and finalize loan payoffs with external financial institutions in a timely manner. Assist the Consumer Title Specialist with the review and completion of various title reports. Respond to internal and external title-related inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. Assist Business Development and Lending Operations Departments with scanning of documents into the electronic filing system. Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Experience:

One to three years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Experience in a customer service or operations role with a financial institution encompassing a broad knowledge of products and services.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

A high school degree or GED is required.

Interpersonal Skills:

A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In- depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with coworkers, customers and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers

Other Skills:

Maintain knowledge with training in BSA Compliance - every staff member is required to uphold the credit union's compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures. This includes required BSA reporting. Specific functions such as tellers and front-line staff within Spero Financial will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department and report such activity. In addition to any other assigned training courses, BSA, CIP, OFAC and AML related courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments. Required to maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements. Comply with all Spero policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.
