Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:
The Closing Specialist I position is responsible for preparing all loan-closing documents and ensuring accuracy to have a fully compliant mortgage.
Primary Job Duties:
Pre-Closing review of all documents in file including title, homeowner's insurance, appraisal, condo documentation, tax certs, trust documents, payoffs, and disclosuresComplete a preclosing checklist to ensure file is complete and compliantCoordinate scheduled signing with partners, loan officers, settlement agents and/or title companiesPrepare all closing documents required to close mortgage loans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate; follow up with any discrepancies.

Audit closing documents and file based on audit procedures.

Prepare and explain closing requirements to settlement agent as needed.

Perform client, settlement agent, processor, or client relations follow-up as needed.

Coordinate shipping and receiving documents to loan advisors, settlement agents, and wholesale partners, as needed.

Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and investor requirements to ensure quality closing packages and salability to the InvestorPrepare and complete loan documents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete, and coordinating the closing process.

Follow established procedures and guidelines, with basic or limited decision-making authority.

Work directly with title companies, partners and other third parties to coordinate closings. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years as a Closer or Funder preferredAbility to prepare routine administrative paperworkOrganizing and coordinating skillsAbility to develop and maintain files and recordsSkill in the use of personal computers and related software applications, specifically Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft WordKnowledge of customer service standards and proceduresGood customer service skills and reliabilityIndividuals must be extremely detailed oriented and work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlinesMust always demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsTeam player who shows a positive attitude and collaborative skillsExhibits a positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.

Demonstrates reliability and punctuality.
