JOB SUMMARY
The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing and preparing loan documentation for real estate and non-real estate loans, including commercial, consumer, and SBA loans, as well as renewals, extensions, and modifications. They ensure compliance with bank policies, accurate lien recording, proper coding, and timely funding and booking of loans. The Commercial Loan Processor utilizes technology including AI-enable tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in loan processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Reviews and verifies loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with approvals and bank policies. Prepares in-house loan documents and disclosures for closing. Demonstrates knowledge of real estate documentation, real estate law, and contracts. Ensures proper lien recording and adherence to UCC requirements. Confirms accuracy of loan fees and settlement statements. Collaborates with loan officers and attorneys to ensure complete and accurate documentation. Provides support to loan operations and assists with administrative tasks as needed. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Adapts and utilizes new technology, including AI‑assisted learning systems, to streamline document review, minimize errors and optimize workflow efficiency. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities and organizational limitations may result in some deviation from these guidelines. High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred. 1+ years of prior credit or loan processing experience in a financial institution. 2+ of prior banking or similar financial services experience strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of real estate documentation Knowledge of loan production activities, terminology, and compliance regulations. Basic understanding of title policies and related loan regulations such as RESPA and HMDA. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while performing assigned duties. Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment. Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with basic calculator skills. Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.
