Commercial Loan Processor - McAllen, TX Texas Regional Bank - 3.2 McAllen, TX Job Details 1 hour ago Qualifications Regulatory compliance Commercial lending High school diploma or GED Decision making Financial compliance experience in banks Full Job Description Position Summary Loan Processor is responsible for coordinating the entire documentation requirements to complete commercial loan transaction from submission of application to loan closing. Provides assistance and support to the professional lending staff regarding loan documentation preparation, and review. Process loans to ensure compliance with internal and external lending guidelines and protect the Bank's security interest. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Reviews loan packages for completeness and accuracy. 2. Requests required documentation on approvals. 3. Reviews loan documentation, recognizes deficiencies and takes appropriate steps to ensure accurate documentation, including data entry. 4. Maintains in close communication with attorneys 5. Immediately resolves any issues that would negatively impact the Bank's future collectability, lien position, equity position, and/or marketability. 6. Once all documentation has been collected, reviewed and approved, presents complete package with approval to close. 7. Audits all loan packages to ensure proper signatures, disbursements and documentation is obtained. Immediately reports and resolves any issue that requires corrective action and meets all regulatory timelines. 8. Uploads loan documents to Bank's imagining software 9. Provides payoffs, loan verifications, and processes releases of lien. 10. Complies with federal and state regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures. 11. Review loans are entered and coded correctly and accurately to ensure accurate reporting in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements as well as general Bank financial reporting requirements. 12. Assists the Commercial Real Estate department as needed to prepare renewal loan documentation, modifications, paid out files and releases of lien. 13. Performs additional duties as requested. Other Responsibilities Supports and promotes the Bank's vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures. Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills. Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community. Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere while remaining composed at all times. Provides a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, and customers. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements A self-starting team player who possesses a high school diploma or GED. Minimum 3-5 years real estate and commercial processing experience - financial institution preferred. Knowledgeable in loan compliance and regulations. Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities. Should possess a strong working knowledge of real estate and commercial loan underwriting concepts, techniques, compliance and regulatory guidelines. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume, work environment with accuracy and minimal supervision. Display a positive team working attitude with associates in all departments. Must have strong computer skills, with an emphasis on loan platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office and AdobePro is preferred. Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
