Fairway Home Mortgage - The Sharla Ellis Dream Team Salt Lake City, Utah | In-Office | Full-Time Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes per-file bonuses with strong earning potential. Join a High-Performing Mortgage Team The Sharla Ellis Dream Team at Fairway Home Mortgage is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Loan Officer Assistant / Mortgage Processor to help support our growing production and operational flow. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced mortgage environment, enjoys managing details and communication, and takes pride in helping loans move smoothly through the pipeline. You'll work closely with a Top 1% producing mortgage team to assist with file review, borrower communication, loan preparation, documentation management, pipeline flow, and overall team operations. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can step in quickly, take ownership, and contribute inside an established, high-volume mortgage team environment. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze new loan applications, including income, credit, asset, and supporting documentation; run AUS findings and assist with qualification analysis and loan structuring Assist with prequalification preparation, borrower communication, and file organization Help structure and prepare files for smooth transition through processing and underwriting Manage and monitor incoming applications, documentation, and pipeline activity Assist with ordering and tracking loan-related items (VOEs, condo documentation, etc.) Maintain accurate notes, follow-up systems, and organized loan file documentation Support communication flow between borrowers, Realtors, title companies, and internal team members Assist with summary emails, pipeline management, milestone communication, and operational follow-through Help maintain a five-star client and referral partner experience throughout the transaction Support team needs during meetings, events, and high-volume production periods What Success Looks Like in This Role Staying on top of communication and pipeline flow in real time Managing files, documentation, and follow-up with urgency and accuracy Taking ownership of tasks and helping move loans efficiently through the process Supporting a high-producing team with professionalism, consistency, and strong follow-through Thinking proactively and helping solve problems before they become issues Being a dependable, positive team player who contributes to the success of the entire team Qualifications Minimum 2+ years mortgage industry experience is required (LOA, Processor, Mortgage Assistant, Mortgage Operations, or similar) Experience with Encompass strongly preferred Please note: This is not an entry-level position. Applicants without current or prior mortgage industry experience will not be considered. NMLS license is a plus — or willingness to obtain licensure with company support Strong understanding of conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, and general mortgage lending processes Ability to analyze tax returns, income, assets, and supporting borrower documentation Strong communication and professional client interaction skills Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong email and task management skills Highly self-motivated with an ownership mindset Positive attitude, professionalism, coachability, and willingness to grow Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment Benefits 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance HSA/FSA options PTO Full Fairway benefits package How to Apply Please submit your résumé along with a brief cover letter describing at least these three things: 1. $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
