Accommodates special requests whenever possible. Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures. Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, check- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. Prepare and distribute daily reports. Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints and/or emergencies Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area. Knows all safety and emergency procedures, Is aware of accident prevention policies. Perform other duties as requested by management.
