Job Description

The Overnight Guest Service Agent/Night Auditor is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt position. The primary focus of this position is satisfying all guest needs and requests overnight, while also closing the books for the day, producing reports, and setting up morning teams for success. The night audit shift is a Sunday - Thursday schedule and runs between 10:30PM to 7:00AM. For emergency and inclement weather reporting this position is considered essential. Duties and Responsibilities Guest Services Serve as the primary respondent to all guest requests during overnight shift, including but not limited to amenities, maintenance repairs, keying issues, noise complaints and security. Respond to all requests for lodging information whether received via mail, phone, or email. Act as lodging reservations representative, following policies for minimum night stays, posting additional charges, and handling advance deposits. Perform guest accounting on computerized Property Management System (including posting guest charges and payments). Performs lodging night audit as outlined in closing SOP. Responsible for communicating with hospitality staff during shift changes on any issues addressed overnight, including those that need further action or correspondence. Provide concierge service, including general information to public and guests concerning Chautauqua programs and history as well as information on the general area. Distribute Chautauqua and area information available at the front desk for guests. Includes providing guests with all needed information at check-in. Monitor and support public and private event teams as needed, such as address noise complaints, light cleaning and participate in breakdown procedures Facilities Related Duties and Responsibilities Perform prearrival room inspections of and address maintenance and housekeeping issues before rooms and public buildings are released back into rental inventory. Perform various light duty facilities repairs as needed. Respond and communicate promptly to requests for facilities related repairs and guest services. Assist with maintaining dumpster areas and keeping them clear of trash and other debris. Provide physical support to public and private events staff, including event set-up, breakdown, etc. Required Qualifications High School diploma 2 plus years' experience in a hospitality setting, preferably at the front desk, or similar position. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. Experience with Property Management Systems, Document retention and customer databases, or similar systems is a plus. Excellent telephone and personal communication skills - listening, responding, and recording. Excellent writing and editing skills. Strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to anticipate and plan for needed steps to meet deadlines. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail.
Starting hourly:
