The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk during overnight hours, providing exceptional guest services while performing essential accounting and administrative tasks. This position requires a blend of hospitality management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest inquiries effectively. Duties Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies. Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant stay. Utilize multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls efficiently and professionally. Maintain accurate records of room availability, reservations, and billing information. Assist guests with special requests and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective communication throughout the hotel. Experience Previous experience in hospitality is preferred. Familiarity with night audit processes and accounting practices is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing communication with diverse guests. Proficiency in using front desk software and multi-line phone systems is desirable. A background in resort operations or experience in guest services will be beneficial for this role.
