Part-Time Night Auditor -
Hampton Inn Position Summary:
The Part-Time Night Auditor is responsible for auditing the hotel's daily financial transactions, balancing accounts, and providing overnight front desk coverage. This role combines accounting responsibilities with guest service duties, ensuring accurate reporting and a safe, welcoming environment for guests during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit and reconcile daily hotel financial transactions, including room revenue, taxes, and point-of-sale activity Prepare nightly reports and forward them to management for review Check-in late-arriving guests and check-out early-departing guests efficiently and accurately Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns during overnight hours, providing professional and courteous service Monitor lobby, parking lot, and hotel premises for security and safety concerns Perform end-of-day procedures, including posting charges, verifying credit card transactions, and balancing cash drawer Assist with reservations, cancellations, and modifications as needed Communicate any maintenance or operational issues to the appropriate departments Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
Performance Metrics:
Audit Accuracy:
Ensure all financial transactions are correctly reconciled with zero discrepancies
Guest Satisfaction:
Maintain high guest satisfaction scores for overnight service
Timely Reporting:
Complete all night audit reports accurately and on time
Security & Safety:
Monitor overnight operations to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members
Problem Resolution:
Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests or concerns
Team Communication:
Provide clear hand-off notes to day shift and management
Qualifications:
Previous experience in hospitality, front desk, or accounting preferred Strong numerical and analytical skills Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer skills, including hotel PMS systems and Microsoft Office Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
Working Conditions:
Overnight shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Indoor work environment at the front desk Quiet overnight environment with intermittent guest interaction Responsibility for security monitoring and emergency response
Expectations:
Maintain Hampton Inn brand standards for guest service, safety, and accuracy Work independently while ensuring all audit and front desk tasks are completed on time Take initiative in reporting issues and providing solutions during overnight hours Provide a welcoming, professional environment for all overnight guests
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
