Job Description

Join the opening team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson's Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland's most exciting waterfront destinations, opening Summer 2026. As home to the first Moxy hotel in Northern New England, this is a chance to be part of something new from the very beginning — welcoming guests to a vibrant stay steps from Thompson's Point's concerts, events, dining, and culture. We're building something new in Portland—and while the city sleeps, you'll help keep everything running smoothly. As our Night Auditor , you're the steady hand behind the scenes. You'll balance the books, support overnight guests, and make sure the hotel is perfectly set for a brand-new day. If you enjoy independence, detail work, and being the go-to problem solver when things are quiet but important—you'll thrive here. This isn't just overnight work—it's being the calm, capable center of a brand-new hotel.
What You'll Be Doing:
Welcoming late arrivals and assisting guests with check-in and check-out Providing friendly, professional service for all overnight guest needs Handling guest questions, requests, and concerns with care and urgency Running end-of-day audit tasks—posting charges, balancing accounts, and closing the day Ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed on time Processing payments (cash, credit, and other forms) with accuracy Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism with guest information Keeping the front desk and lobby clean, organized, and guest-ready Communicating important updates with leadership and the audit team Ensuring key control and safety procedures are followed
You'll Fit Right In If You:
Are detail-oriented and take pride in accuracy Stay calm, focused, and friendly—especially overnight Enjoy working independently but know when to ask for support Have strong communication and customer service skills Like problem-solving and keeping things organized Are comfortable working overnight, weekends, and holidays Can balance hospitality with responsibility
Bonus Points If You Have:
Hotel or front desk experience Familiarity with property management systems
