Hiring Rate:
Starting at $18.50
  • 19.
50 per hour, (based on prior Hilton experience,) plus monthly monetary performance and sign on bonuses.
Job Overview:
The Night Auditor reports to the Front Office Manager and serves as the face of Hilton Garden Inn to guests throughout the overnight shift. The primary focus of this job is to provide outstanding guest service while performing end of day duties that include balancing the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day. This begins with check-in, continues through check-out and also includes supporting the overall operations of the hotel. This role requires a pleasant personality, excellent guest service skills and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room and/or has a bell person accompany him/her. Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change and processing gift certificates and cards. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries. Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy. Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction. Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests. Understand and advocate the Hilton Honors program, including enrollment, benefits and point redemption.
Execute cashiering procedures:
open, secure and balance out shift banks to include the verification of all cash, credit card, and check transactions during a given shift. Close and balance all room accounts. Run a trial balance report, investigate or analyze out-of-balance situations. Print and distribute computer audit reports. Complete required revenue and expense reports. Verify that all EOD work has been performed by other departments. Run EOD computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift. Audit and balance reports from the day shifts. Understand and help monitor basic safety and security procedures of the hotel.
Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems. Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests and employees. Thorough organization skills proficient in accomplishing tasks. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high attention. The team member must occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
Other Expectations:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This includes nights, weekends and/or holidays. All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). Complies with health and safety rules, regulations and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred. Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. Additional language ability preferred.

Shifts are scheduled for 10:45pm-7:00am, weekends and weekdays Preferred Experience and Certifications, However Will Train the
