Night Auditor/pm shift - Hotel Best Western PLUS Portland Airport - 3.3 Portland, OR Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17.50 - $17.75 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Report writing Guest relations Inventory management Night audit High school diploma or GED Hotel experience Full Job Description The Best Western PLUS Portland Airport is seeking a person to work Sunday & Monday Pm ( 3pm-11PM) and Tuesday & Wednesday night auditor (11pm-7a) .
Job Summary:
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests and ensuring guests have a pleasant stay and a smooth checkout.
Job Duties:
Provides guests with information, such as local attractions, events and directions. Maintains customer privacy. Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor. Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments. Takes same day reservations and future reservations. Knows cancellation procedures. Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms. Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager. Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests. Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the maintenance department. Processes guest check- outs and handles monetary transactions. Maintain customer privacy. Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts. Processes guest credit card charges. Verifies all account postings and balances. Prepares reports for management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous hotel experience preferred. Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and luggage up to 75 lbs Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
