Part-time Position Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring the safety and security of guests, and completing daily financial reconciliation. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy of the hotel's daily reports and balances.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet, check in, and check out guests in a professional, courteous manner. Answer phones, handle reservations, and respond to guest inquiries or requests. Monitor property security and ensure all entrances are secured during overnight hours. Complete nightly audit process, balancing daily revenue, verifying room charges, and preparing financial reports. Reconcile guest accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare, print, and distribute reports for management review. Ensure accurate posting of room charges, taxes, and other transactions. Assist guests with late-night needs, emergencies, or complaints. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area. Communicate important information to the morning shift to ensure smooth handover.
Qualifications:
Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in basic computer skills and hotel property management systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Able to remain alert and focused throughout overnight hours.
Work Schedule:
Overnight shifts, typically between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays.
