SCHEDULE
Full-Time SHIFT:
Overnight (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)and/or 10PM - 6AM) Weekends and Holidays Required
POSITION SUMMARY
Crowne Plaza Charleston Airport is seeking a dependable, service-focused Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during overnight hours while ensuring the accuracy of daily financial and accounting processes. As the overnight representative of the hotel, the Night Auditor serves as both a hospitality professional and operational leader, helping create a seamless experience for guests while preparing the hotel for a successful day ahead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES GUEST SERVICE
Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional arrival experience. Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently. Respond to guest requests and concerns with urgency and professionalism. Recognize IHG One Rewards members and VIP guests. Resolve guest issues and service recovery situations with confidence and care. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment.
NIGHT AUDIT & ACCOUNTING
Complete all nightly audit procedures and end-of-day processing. Reconcile room revenue, restaurant revenue, and other hotel transactions. Verify guest folios, rates, and payment methods for accuracy. Prepare and distribute daily operational and financial reports. Balance cash, credit card transactions, and settlement reports. Maintain confidentiality of guest and financial information.
HOTEL OPERATIONS
Monitor hotel security and guest safety during overnight hours. Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally. Communicate overnight activity to hotel leadership. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage teams as needed. Prepare the hotel for morning arrivals and departures. Prepare daily shuttle logs for airline crews according to manifests. Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED
Previous hotel front desk or Night Auditor experience. Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems. Cash handling or accounting experience. Knowledge of IHG brand standards and loyalty programs.
