Job Description

Night Auditor / Front Desk Associate Red Roof Inn, Vermillion, SD Red Roof Inn in Vermillion is looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Auditor / Front Desk Associate to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hotel experience who is looking for a stable position, consistent housing, and a long-term role in a hotel environment. This position includes free on-site studio apartment housing , including TV, Wi-Fi, and utilities. The right candidate will be comfortable working overnight, assisting guests, handling front desk duties, setting up breakfast, and keeping the property safe, clean, and guest-ready. We are looking for someone who is honest, dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership of the overnight shift.
What You'll Do:
Front Desk Responsibilities As part of the front desk team, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming and professional experience for our guests.
Duties include:
Greeting guests and provide friendly customer service. Checking guests in and out of the hotel. Answering phone calls and assisting with reservations. Handling guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally. Processing cash and credit card transactions accurately. Maintaining guest records in the hotel system. Monitoring room availability and guest accounts. Communicating with housekeeping and management as needed. Keeping the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and professional.
Night Auditor Responsibilities:
The overnight shift is an important part of hotel operations.
Responsibilities include:
Working scheduled overnight shifts. Completing night audit procedures. Balancing daily transactions and reviewing guest accounts. Assisting with late check-ins and early check-outs. Monitoring the property during overnight hours. Responding to guest needs, noise concerns, or safety issues. Completing property walks inside and outside the hotel. Reporting maintenance, safety, or guest-related concerns to management.
Breakfast and Property Support:
This is a hands-on position, and the right person must be willing to help wherever needed.
Duties include:
Setting up breakfast in the morning before guests arrive. Keeping the breakfast area clean and stocked. Assisting with general property tasks as needed. Helping maintain clean and welcoming common areas.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can be trusted to manage the hotel during the overnight hours.
Qualified candidates should have:
Minimum 2 years of hotel experience . High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work overnight shifts. Ability to walk the property inside and outside. A dependable, honest, and professional attitude. Willingness to help with front desk, laundry, breakfast, and general hotel duties.
