Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Auditor to join our opening team and ensure the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism and service at our boutique historic property in Carthage, TN. In this vital role, you will be responsible for handling end-of-day accounting, delivering exceptional hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end guest experience and check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Check daily figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures. Count bank at beginning and end of shift.
  • Accept, record and execute wake-up call requests.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute financial, accounting & auditing reports and tables per management/ownership needs.
  • Ensure the lobby, lounge and public areas are clean; vacuum/dust as needed.
  • Remove trash/dishes from lounge by 5AM daily.
  • Ensure the coffee station in lobby is clean and stocked with water & all necessary amenities by 5AM daily.
  • Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges; provide change as needed.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Maintain security throughout the night; communicate any security issues to Management as soon as possible.
  • Promptly communicate any overnight guest issues or incidents to Management/Supervisors.
  • Notify Management immediately of any guest reports of theft.
  • Assist Housekeeping in tracking Lost & Found.
  • Provide the highest levels of hospitality and service to all guests at all times.
  • Be punctual to all shifts; call and speak to direct Manager/Supervisor for any instance of tardiness or absence from scheduled shift.
  • Maintain a professional appearance; wear company-approved uniform to each shift.
  • Complete the daily checklist as required by your shift.
  • Stand and sit for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management/Supervisors.
Requirements Proven experience in hospitality, guest reception and customer service Comfortable working knowledge of online property management/guest reservation systems Comfortable working knowledge of accounting systems, reports and spreadsheets Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest service
