Hours are 11pm-8am a minimum of 2 nights per week. The Night Auditor will responsible to conduct all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities balancing duties, daily paperwork, and shift reports. While completing these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as guest check-in/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment. Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift. Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc. Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Process guest registrations, including collecting payment. Follow SOP for incidental holds Maintain room status inventory. Communicate all pertinent shift information to General Manager, and other desk staff. Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed. Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition. Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts. Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift. Verifies all account postings and balances. Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features. Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily. Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures Complete all online training modules associated with position. Will assist will breakfast set up Experience with Autoclerk and CLC a plus Performs other duties as assigned by General Manager.
PREREQUISITES
To be able to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized. Ability to multi-task in busy environment and adheres to hotel the Standard Operating Procedures. Must maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor with all guests and coworkers. Ability to work well with others is required. This position requires someone who is dependable and punctual.
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent. Must speak, read. Write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year hotel front desk supervisory experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light work-exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The position also requires that the employee regularly stand & walk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
