Chesapeake, VA Job Details Part-time 6 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Teamwork Property management tools Night audit Security system High school diploma or GED Math Attention to detail Financial accounting Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Night Auditor to manage front desk operations during overnight hours at our limited-service hotel. This part-time position requires coverage for 2 days per week, typically working 11 PM to 7 AM shifts. Key Responsibilities Monitor front desk and provide exceptional service to late-arriving and early-departing guests Process night shift check-ins and handle guest inquiries and requests Audit and reconcile daily financial transactions, including folio balances and cash register discrepancies Verify room rates, correct errors, and prepare end-of-day reports Manage guest accounts and collect outstanding balances Answer phones and direct calls appropriately; respond to emails Monitor and document security issues; respond to guest emergencies or complaints Perform opening procedures for day shift staff, including report handoff Maintain accurate front desk records and logs Ensure facility security by monitoring locks, alarms, and guest access Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of hotel front desk or hospitality experience Experience with folio auditing and PMS (Property Management System) software Strong mathematical and accounting skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work independently during overnight hours Strong communication and problem-solving skills Availability to work 2 assigned days per week on overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM) Preferred Qualifications Experience with night audit procedures and closing procedures Knowledge of hospitality accounting and revenue management Bilingual abilities CPR/First Aid certification What We Offer Competitive hourly wage Flexible part-time schedule Employee discounts on room rates Supportive and collaborative work environment
