Hotel Night Auditor

Overview The Hilton Spark, Chincoteague, Virginia is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of overnight front desk activities, guest account management, and financial reconciliation. The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality management skills, excellent customer service abilities, problem resolutuion skills and experience in hotel operations. This position also includes breakfast responsibilities and hours for additional hours. Duties Perform nightly audits of guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions Balance and reconcile daily revenue reports, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods Handle late-night check-ins and check-outs efficiently while providing friendly guest service Respond promptly to guest inquiries via phone or in person, maintaining professional phone etiquette and managing multi-line phone systems Assist guests with special requests, reservations, and guest services to enhance their stay experience Maintain security protocols by monitoring the premises during overnight hours Prepare detailed reports for management regarding daily financial activities and operational issues Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming for guests arriving or departing during night hours Set up and operation of hotel breakfast bar. Maintaining cleanliness and keeping breakfast item stocked and replenished. Skills Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations, particularly in night audit or front desk roles Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and guest satisfaction Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective guest interaction Familiarity with hotel management software and multi-line phone systems Knowledge of hotel management principles, including reservation systems, billing procedures, and guest services standards Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reconciliation Capable of working independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of hospitality and security This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of hotel operations during nighttime hours and delivering outstanding service to our guests.
