As a Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor, the incumbent is responsible for delivering exceptional reception and guest services to ensure a seamless experience throughout each guest's stay. This role plays a key part in creating both the first and lasting impressions of our guests. Responsibilities include reconciling daily hotel paperwork, accurately posting charges to guest accounts, closing the business day, and maintaining a high standard of service at all times. Essential Functions:
Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Assist guests in a proactive and efficient manner, with appropriate followup as necessary. Register guests, manage the rooming chart, and handle guest checkins and checkouts. Collect payments, provide change, and verify credit acceptance by reviewing and recording identification and operating credit card systems. Settle guest accounts, using sound judgment to apply discounts when appropriate. Provide prearrival support for package guests and respond to inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure guest satisfaction by scheduling wakeup calls and fulfilling concierge requests based on guest preferences. Provide guests with information about local attractions, property amenities, and promotions. Explain Players Club benefits and resolve or escalate guest concerns in a continuous effort to provide superior service. Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards. Ensure that guest profiles are properly updated in the property management system and special requests are communicated to appropriate departments prior to checkin. Review assignment status and followup actions with oncoming team members. Direct workflow of Housekeepers as needed, including guest luggage and amenity requests. Greet guests and provide door, bell, or valet service when necessary. Balance daily accounts and ensure all endofday activities are completed across departments. Manage front desk activity during overnight hours. Handle guest requests and complaints, and coordinate resolutions with team members or other departments. Manage and update all documentation and logs related to night audit and front desk operations. Operate and maintain office equipment, including computers, programmable telephone systems, fax machines, and multiuse photocopiers. Manage and safeguard assigned bank; ensure all cash handling procedures are followed accurately. Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service. Must maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): Must be at least 18 years or older. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Six (6) months of guest service experience required. Accounting, front desk, reservations, Switchboard, bell staff, valet training or similar experience preferred. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windowsbased programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software, and databases. Ability to operate multiline phone. Excellent organization and administration skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Must be able to multitask. Ability to understand, speak, communicate, and read the English language. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal formats while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw conclusions or identify trends. Ability to reference and understand information related to promotions, amenities, and local attractions. Must be able to maintain focus in a highvolume, fastpaced environment. Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training, if applicable, upon hire and annually. Must be able to obtain and maintain a nongaming permit. Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Manual finger dexterity required to perform daily job duties. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
