Job Title:
Payroll & HR Manager We are looking for a sharp, process-driven Payroll & HR Manager to lead our administrative engine. You'll be the gatekeeper of compliance, ensuring our team is paid accurately according to various contract stipulations while maintaining a bridge between management and our union partners.
Key Responsibilities Complex Payroll Oversight:
Manage full-cycle payroll for employees, including the calculation of shifted differentials, overtime, and holiday pay as dictated by the CBA.
Union Compliance:
Interpret and implement contract changes regarding wages, benefits, and seniority. Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of union dues and pension contributions.
HR Supervision:
Lead a small administrative team to maintain employee records, manage leaves of absence (FMLA/STD), and coordinate open enrollment.
Grievance Support:
Provide data and documentation to support leadership during grievance procedures or contract negotiations.
Audit & Reporting:
Serve as the lead for internal and external audits, ensuring all payroll and HR practices meet federal, state, and union requirements. What You Bring to the
Table The Experience:
At least 5+ years in Payroll/HR, with at least 2 years in a unionized environment (preferred)
Technical Chops:
Proficiency with [Software, e.g., ADP, Workday, or Kronos] and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are your best friends).
Leadership:
Experience mentoring or supervising staff, with a focus on accuracy and professional development.
