Full Job Description About Us:
Café Coyote is a landmark in Historic Old Town, San Diego, known for its warm hospitality, authentic Mexican cuisine, and strong team culture. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to support financial, payroll, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
Daily bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Hospitality Experience working with Tip Outs is a Plus! Process payroll using Toast Payroll and Paycor Enter and reconcile daily sales reports and financial data Maintain and organize financial records, invoices, receipts, and employee files Filing and document management (digital and paper) Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and sales summaries Assist with accounts payable/receivable and vendor payments Support HR documentation, onboarding, and employee records Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all records May be required to work occasional weekends or holidays Qualifications (Required): Minimum 2 years' experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Word Experience with Toast POS, Toast Payroll, and Paycor preferred Strong understanding of sales reporting, payroll, and basic HR file management Excellent organization, accuracy, and confidentiality with financial data Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Compensation & Schedule:
$30-$40/hour , depending on experience Part-time or full-time available Primarily Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekends or holidays How to
