Agency Office of the State Controller Division OSC's Integrated HR/Payroll System Job Classification Title State HRIS/Payroll Analyst I (NS) Position Number 60093434 Grade DT04 About Us The State Controller serves as an independent resource to protect the financial integrity of the State and to promote accountability in an objective and efficient manner through its accounting, disbursing, payroll, internal controls, data management, eCommerce, and financial reporting systems that serve state agencies, employees, and the public. The foundational principles of the office are Integrity/Ethics, Objectivity, and Accountability. OSC's overall goals are to optimize operational execution, manage risk effectively and efficiently, and foster a high-performance culture. OSC will provide excellent customer service while achieving those goals.

Salary Range:
$56,772-$68,000 This position reports to the

Accounting Team Supervisor. This position is part of a team responsible for reconciling The State Health Plan billing to the payroll postings and the enrollment vendor records. This position is responsible for meeting the payment threshold per assignment. The position is responsible for a variety of reconciliation, general ledger and accounting activities which involve creating and analyzing reports to verify accurate payroll deductions and researching aged billing discrepancies. The position is also responsible for using the Service Manager Ticketing System to respond to agency inquiries. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and state vendors is a requirement for this role. Other duties include researching and processing internal and third-party vendor requests. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Proven and documented ability to analyze and resolve complex billing discrepancies and related processing issues Proven and documented ability to use the SAP module functionality, Third-Party vendor portal, and system reporting tools to carry out assigned duties. Proven and documented ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data, exercising sound judgment and discretion in gathering and evaluating personal data Proven ability to trace general ledger postings and payments Proven ability to develop and manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with large volume. Documented experience in tracing complex aged, billed discrepancies Documented experience in resolving third party and customer inquiries Proven experience using common spreadsheets, word processing and database software packages Minimum Education and Experience Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience." Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, computer science, or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business or HR/Payroll consultation, process improvement or requirement gathering in an information technology, payroll, or HRIS environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
