Job Objective The Client Account Manager (HR & Payroll) serves as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of KEENA clients, supporting them across payroll, HR, benefits, compliance, and employee-related needs. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with business owners, managers, and employees. This position plays a critical role in maintaining trusted client relationships by resolving issues efficiently, managing client expectations, and knowing when and how to escalate matters appropriately. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in HR, payroll, benefits, or account management and is comfortable balancing multiple client needs in service-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Client & Account Management Serve as a primary client contact for HR, payroll, benefits, and employee-related questions Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with KEENA clients through consistent, knowledgeable support Manage client issues independently, applying sound judgment and escalating when appropriate Communicate clearly with clients regarding next steps, timelines, and expectations HR, Payroll & Compliance Support Support the onboarding and implementation of new clients, including coordination, setup, and training schedules Maintain and manage employment-related documentation such as onboarding paperwork, employee relations records, and termination documentation Support the administration of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements for KEENA clients and their employees Communicate regulatory updates, process changes, and compliance-related information to clients and internal team members Internal Coordination & Systems Collaborate closely with internal service team members to ensure consistent, high-quality client service Coordinate tasks, case assignments, and projects within the Client Services team Accurately document client and employee interactions in CRM to ensure continuity, accountability, and service tracking Contribute to internal process improvements that enhance efficiency and client experience Team & Culture Act as a proactive, collaborative team member who supports colleagues and shared goals Represent KEENA professionally with clients, partners, and within the local community Contribute positively to KEENA's culture through effective communication, accountability, and respect This Role Is aStrong Fit If You Have Experience In:
HR administration, payroll processing, benefits administration, or operations Client-facing, account management, or customer success roles Managing multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously Navigating sensitive employee, payroll, or compliance-related conversations HR consulting, payroll services, benefits administration, or a PEO environment (preferred, not required) What We Value Unwavering Respect & Trust- We show up with integrity and follow through Collective Responsibility
