Payroll Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee end‑to‑end payroll operations for a multi‑entity organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing; compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; and effective coordination with HR, Finance, and external vendors. The Payroll Manager will also lead process improvements, support system upgrades, and serve as a subject‑matter resource for payroll‑related matters across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full payroll cycle on a bi‑weekly basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complianceOversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year‑end processes including W‑2 productionEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulationsReview and approve payroll adjustments, garnishments, deductions, and auditsPartner with HR to maintain accurate employee data, earnings, and benefit deductionsManage payroll vendor relationships and coordinate system enhancements or upgradesMaintain payroll‑related general ledger activity and support reconciliationsRespond to internal and external requests for payroll and earnings documentationServe as a resource for payroll‑related questions across departments and locationsIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting
