Job Description

•Req Number•187703 Job Description Manages, plans, organizes and evaluates the staff and activities in support of an assigned area of Payroll. Provides guidance to staff in problem resolution, process improvement, new site integration and customer service. Oversees payroll issues, while ensuring proper payroll administration. Job Responsibility + Provides leadership to Payroll team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives. + Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. + Manages, plans, organizes, and evaluates the staff and activities in support of an assigned area of Payroll. + Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; manages and implements staffing requirements and ensures customer service levels are met; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion. + Acts as a subject matter expert regarding assigned payroll function on various cross-functional site integration teams including impact upon application and application applications. + Collaborates with HRT and application teams to provide feedback, recommendations and solutions to technology and operational issues impacting integration or daily processing needs. + Develops and approves all People Soft enhancements or procedural changes impacting assigned area, as necessary. + Oversees the processing of special payrolls, merit and across the board (ATB) increases, collective bargaining agreement payments, and executive payroll; works with Total Rewards and HR Processing staff to develop more efficient processes. + Partners with Corporate Finance and Tax to advise on upcoming special pays and resolve any financial discrepancies or issues; Partners with Legal and Labor team to offer guidance on policy and pay practices for union and non-union staff, as necessary. + Liaises with HR Service Center in planning processes to assist in developing solutions to improve the overall efficiency of the Call Center; oversees the resolution of complex payroll issues, customer concerns and inquiries and resolves errors related to payroll processing or special pays. + As assigned, may oversee bank reconciliation process, payroll general ledger reconciliation, development and implementation of leave accruals, payroll year end process, and review of audit reports and inquiries; ensures correction of payment issues prior to closing payroll. + Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification + Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. + 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required. •Additional Salary Detail•The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
