Job Description:
Join our growing team at Tendercare Home Health where you truly make a difference! We're looking for a payroll generalist who will focus on processing accurate and timely payroll for a small-to-midsize workforce. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, strong ADP platform expertise, and comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in processing regular and off?cycle payrolls using ADP (importing hours from our EMR, entering miscellaneous hours, adjustments, deductions, garnishments, benefits). Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies. Review, corrections, and distribution of annual W-2s. Manage and respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Maintain payroll records and documentation, ensuring audit readiness. Coordinate with HR and benefits vendors for new hires, terminations, PTO, and deductions. Assist with payroll audits and provide support for internal/external audits. Contribute to implementation and efficiency improvements and maintain up?to?date knowledge of tax law changes.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a corporate or multi?state environment. Proven hands?on experience with ADP payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now, RUN, Vantage, or similar). Strong knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax rules, reporting, and compliance. Familiarity with garnishments, benefits deductions, retirement plan processing, and payroll accounting. Proficiency with Excel and payroll reporting tools. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication and customer?service skills.
Preferred:
Experience with multi?state payroll and nexus issues. Experience with HRIS integrations and benefits platforms. This is a full-time hybrid role at our office location in Indianapolis, we are open to part-time candidates!
