Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a diverse workforce. This role involves managing union and non-union payroll across multiple states for a dynamic organization. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth and stability in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage weekly payroll operations for approximately 250 employees, with potential increases during peak periods. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations across multiple states, including union and non-union requirements. Process full-cycle payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Oversee payroll for large-scale operations, handling over 500 employees during busy periods. Maintain detailed records and reporting to support audits and organizational needs. Collaborate with internal departments to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies. Implement and monitor payroll policies and procedures to ensure best practices. Train and support team members in payroll processes and system usage. Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Optimize payroll processes for scalability and effectiveness. Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management. Expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations. Familiarity with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now. Ability to manage payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 employees. Strong knowledge of union and non-union payroll requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Solid understanding of payroll compliance laws and regulations. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
