This role will oversee payroll compliance, process improvements, and team management while partnering closely with HR and Finance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary of $100,000 to $130,000, depending on experience Hybrid work schedule Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to join a collaborative and growing organization
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state employee population Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end activities, including W-2 processing Maintain and improve payroll systems, controls, and procedures Supervise and mentor payroll staff, if applicable Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll-related issues and support reporting needs Stay current on payroll laws and regulatory changes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership responsibilities Experience processing multi-state payroll Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements Proficiency with payroll systems and advanced Excel skills CPP certification is a plus
