U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Required About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join a highly respected organization supporting complex payroll operations across multiple states. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex payroll and tax issues, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical payroll expertise, experience supporting multi-state payroll operations, and a proactive approach to improving processes and maintaining compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee and process multi-state payrolls for full-time, part-time, seasonal, and contracted employees Support payroll operations from employee onboarding through separation Assist with federal, state, and local payroll tax filings Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries Review and validate payroll data, earnings, deductions, and adjustments Process terminations, off-cycle payments, and payroll corrections Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external requirements Support payroll audits and compliance initiatives Assist with workers' compensation administration Partner closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll information Support payroll help desk activities and employee assistance
QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 10+ years of payroll processing experience 5+ years of payroll experience within a government contracting environment Experience processing payroll across multiple states Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements Experience supporting payroll audits and reporting requirements Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification Experience with Dayforce/Ceridian Experience with Deltek Costpoint Experience managing complex payroll operations with multiple payroll cycles Ability to identify process improvements and strengthen payroll controls What We're Looking For We're looking for a payroll professional who combines technical expertise with a customer-service mindset.
