Learn more at www.vensure.com Position Summary The Payroll Supervisor supports payroll operations for a growing client base by providing day-to-day leadership within an assigned team ("pod"). This role ensures accurate payroll processing, supports team performance, and drives client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Operations Ensure all team payrolls are processed accurately and on time Manage and support complex client accounts Provide escalation support for technical payroll issues Conduct regular 1:1s with team members and assist with open cases Identify knowledge gaps and implement development plans Maintain and update team playbooks and SOPs Performance & Quality Management Monitor and report on key metrics (ticket closure, CSAT, quality, SLA performance) Review queues to ensure proper case management and timely responses Recommend and implement process improvements in partnership with the Payroll Manager Training & Development Lead new hire onboarding and continuous training programs Share updates on system changes, payroll regulations, and best practices Support Sales with client calls and product-related questions Collaboration & Communication Act as an extension of leadership to the Payroll Manager Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams Contribute to departmental initiatives and strategic projects Required Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and relationship management skills Excellent multitasking and attention to detail Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Sound judgment and decision-making capability Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) Flexible, team-oriented, and coachable mindset Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years in client support or customer service 1+ year of payroll experience Work Environment This is an in-office role for candidates located in or near San Antonio, TX The role involves extended computer use in a professional office setting, handling detailed payroll data, and frequent communication with clients and internal teams.
