Job Description Full-Time | Exempt | Seattle, WA Epiphany Parish of Seattle, WA, seeks an experienced Church Accountant & Payroll Administrator at this vibrant parish with a $2.5M annual budget. Responsibilities
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial records
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, budget-to-actuals, and audit support materials
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and administer Paychex Flex and Time & Attendance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, Washington State, and local payroll laws
  • Prepare W-2s, 1099s, and related year-end filings
  • Record and reconcile pledges, contributions, and restricted funds
  • Collaborate with parish leadership, staff, and volunteers to provide clear financial reporting and support Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of nonprofit accounting and payroll experience
  • Experience with fund accounting and donor-restricted funds
  • Strong organizational skills, discretion, and attention to detail Preferred
  • Experience in a church or faith-based nonprofit
  • Experience with Paychex Flex, ACS Financials, and/or Realm
  • Familiarity with Washington State payroll compliance Salary range: $87,000-$95,000 DOE, plus health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, sick leave, and holidays.
