Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting payroll operations, with a particular focus on payroll tax processes and multi-state payroll management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling payroll for large organizations and demonstrate the ability to streamline manual processes for greater efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for over 500 employees.
  • Handle multi-state payroll tasks, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organize and process payroll tax reporting, deposits, and returns, addressing notices and inquiries as needed.
  • Assist in data extraction and organization from payroll systems, including EV5 and Vantage.
  • Support the setup of payroll operations for new sites and locations within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, including automation and workflow optimization.
  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as compiling data, preparing spreadsheets, and addressing tax-related correspondence.
  • Act as a resource for payroll-related inquiries, offering insights and recommendations to improve operations.
  • Work closely with funding processes, including wires and invoicing, to ensure financial accuracy.
