Job Description
Job Summary The Payroll Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and processing payroll for clients. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Duties Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy in employee hours, deductions, and benefits. Maintain employee records, including personal information, tax withholding forms, and direct deposit details. Perform account reconciliation to verify payroll data against financial records. Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions for the accounting department. Utilize accounting software and financial software to manage payroll data efficiently. Assist with accounts receivable tasks as needed to support overall financial operations. Skills Proficiency in accounting principles and practices. Experience with payroll systems such as QuickBooks is highly desirable. Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes. Familiarity with various accounting software and financial software applications. Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures. Excellent 10 key typing skills for accurate data entry. Ability to prepare journal entries accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
