Job Description Job Description The Payroll Lead Technical Analyst sits within the HR Payroll function and works closely with IT to support a company-wide Oracle HCM Payroll implementation replacing Lawson. This role is a hands-on technical and functional payroll position responsible for supporting system configuration, testing, and payroll operations. The position is focused on execution and system expertise rather than management and will play a key role leading into the Oracle Payroll go-live targeted for January.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Oracle HCM Payroll implementation activities in partnership with IT teams.
- Provide functional and technical payroll expertise during system configuration.
- Participate in payroll testing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and data integrity across payroll processes.
- Analyze payroll data flows and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Support post-go-live payroll operations and ongoing system optimization.
- Serve as payroll systems subject matter expert for internal HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders.
Required:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant payroll systems experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Payroll.
- Technical payroll background including configuration, testing, and data validation.
- Experience supporting or participating in ERP or HCM system implementations.
- Deep understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and data integrity.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and IT teams.
- Execution-focused individual contributor; not a director or payroll manager level role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- End-to-end Oracle HCM implementation experience.
- Experience migrating from Lawson or other legacy payroll systems.
- Exposure to UKG or Infor payroll or timekeeping systems.
- SQL knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- APA certification.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of payroll systems or payroll technology experience.
- Experience at a Senior Analyst or Lead Analyst level.
- Ability to support payroll system configuration, testing, and validation activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to payroll data and processes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
