This role serves as a key resource for employees, managers, vendors, and external agencies by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll/HRIS Administrator will also support benefits administration and onboarding.
Essential Functions:
Payroll Process full-cycle payroll for multi-states and multi-companies ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Ensure accurate calculation and processing of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits contributions Audit payroll data for completeness and accuracy prior to transmission and confirmation Create and maintain confidential and accurate employee and payroll files Coordinate payroll tax filings and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and agencies Reconcile payroll reports, benefit deductions, and general ledger interfaces Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation as needed. Respond to unemployment claims Administers wage garnishments, child support orders, levies, and other court-ordered deductions in compliance with applicable laws HRIS Maintain and update employee data within the HRIS system to ensure data integrity and accuracy Support HRIS functionality including workflows, reporting, troubleshooting and system audits Generate and analyze payroll, HR, and benefits reports for management and compliance purposes Assist with HRIS implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvements Benefits Support employee benefits administration including enrollments, changes, terminations, and reconciliation Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits and payroll deductions. Coordinate with benefit carriers and brokers as needed to resolve eligibility and billing discrepancies. Assist with annual open enrollment activities Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in using Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy and confidentiality Strong understanding of payroll regulations and benefits administration Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience, including multi-company, multi-state payroll processing. Experience supporting HRIS systems and benefits administration Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, garnishments, and unemployment processes. Strong proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. CPP, FPC, SHRM, or related certifications preferred. Compensation and Benefits:
