Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA retirement company in Carlsbad is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their company. This person will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, entering and maintaining time cards, assisting with HR duties and compliance and working with employees with any payroll needs. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, ADP knowledge and strong communication skills. Apply now for consideration!
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Performs all duties related to processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll for multiple company locations. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Auditing departmental time cards. Importing time clock data to payroll processing software. Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance. Answers Human Resources and Accounting department questions related to payroll matters and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintains support documentation in an organized fashion. Assists the Shared Services team with special project as requested. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS
At least three years' experience with payroll processing and data entry. Experience working with ADP payroll is strongly preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of California wage and hour laws. Must have a passion for providing excellent customer service. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required. Must be able to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
