Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Payroll Coordinator Laurel Supply West Hollywood, CA Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $100,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Paid sick time Qualifications Hospitality Filing QuickBooks Restaurant experience Time & attendance systems Full Job Description Overview Laurel Supply is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Payroll Coordinator to support the accounting, payroll, and store reporting functions for our newly opened market and prepared foods concept in West Hollywood. This is a hands-on bookkeeping and payroll coordination role. It is not a Controller role, but it does require strong ownership of day-to-day accounting accuracy, payroll support, vendor documentation, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, understands AP, reconciliations, payroll support, and vendor documentation, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant, grocery, retail, or hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities o Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. o Process, review, and track vendor invoices, purchase documentation, payment schedules, and account discrepancies. o Support payroll processing by reviewing timecards, PTO, sick time, pay changes, deductions, and payroll reports. o Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly sales, labor, invoice, and financial reporting. o Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor accounts, payroll reports, and other balance sheet items. o Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and backup documentation. o Assist with sales tax filing, documentation, payroll tax backup, workers' compensation audits, and other accounting or compliance requests. o Help maintain organized, audit-ready files for invoices, payroll, tax, and financial records. o Monitor and flag discrepancies, billing errors, unusual variances, shortages, and operational concerns. o Work closely with store leadership, company leadership, and ownership to provide timely and accurate reporting. Systems Used o QuickBooks o MarginEdge o Toast POS o Payroll/timekeeping systems o Excel QuickBooks experience is required. Experience with MarginEdge, Toast, payroll/timekeeping systems, and restaurant or grocery accounting is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has strong bookkeeping and payroll fundamentals. Qualifications o 5+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or related experience preferred. o Strong hands-on experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial recordkeeping. o QuickBooks experience required. o Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, filtering, sorting, and basic formulas. o Restaurant, grocery, retail, hospitality, or food service accounting experience strongly preferred. o Experience with MarginEdge, Toast, or similar POS/invoice management systems is a plus. o Basic familiarity with California payroll requirements is preferred, including overtime, sick time, meal/rest break premiums, and accurate timekeeping. o High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills. o Ability to manage confidential payroll, employee, and financial information with discretion. o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operating environment. o Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with store leadership, company leadership, and ownership. Ideal Candidate o Reliable, trustworthy, and highly organized. o Comfortable working with leadership and ownership. o Able to identify discrepancies and follow through until resolved. o Enjoys building structure, clean processes, and accurate reporting. o Takes ownership of details and understands the importance of timely, accurate financial information. o Comfortable supporting a growing, fast-paced business.
Schedule / Location
This is a full-time, onsite position based at Laurel Supply in West Hollywood. Additional Expectations o Must be adaptable and willing to support the needs of the business. o May be assigned additional projects or responsibilities based on operational needs. o Expected to support a highly organized, accountable, and disciplined operating environment.Pay:
