SR Payroll Specialist Century Group International Inc Costa Mesa, CA Job Details Temp-to-hire $45 - $52 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Payroll tax processing Payroll tax returns Time & attendance systems Full Job Description Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $45.00 to $52.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for field and office employees while ensuring accuracy in wages deductions benefits and job costing. Review and validate timecard data resolve discrepancies and coordinate with project teams prior to payroll processing. Prepare and file payroll taxes and maintain compliance with federal state and local regulations. Maintain payroll records reconcile accounts and support month end and year end close activities. Manage payroll systems reporting improvements and support system implementations including automation initiatives.
Requirements:
3+ years of construction payroll experience including weekly processing. Demonstrate experience with union payroll and prevailing wage requirements including related reporting. Possess strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance filings and regulatory requirements. Use payroll systems and timekeeping tools confidently with ability to adapt to new platforms. Communicate clearly manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast paced payroll environment.
Qualifications:
Support payroll reconciliations reporting and general ledger impact with strong attention to detail. Identify process improvements and leverage automation tools to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy. Maintain organized audit ready documentation and follow internal control procedures consistently. Collaborate effectively with accounting human resources and compliance teams to resolve payroll issues. Bring certifications system implementation experience or advanced payroll technology knowledge considered beneficial. REF#52302 #Ind-LA-OC
