Payroll Specialist, Glendale, Ca, pay rate range $25-$30, 1st shift Unify Staffing Solutions Glendale, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications ADP High school diploma or GED Organizational skills Business Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, payroll experience, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Primary Responsibilities Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time Review and verify employee timecards, attendance records, and payroll data Maintain employee payroll records and update information as needed Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies Process garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll deductions Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll issues Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information Support Human Resources and Accounting departments as needed Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll taxes Experience with payroll software systems (ADP, Paychex, UKG, Paylocity, etc.) Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus
