Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Sherman Oaks, California on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who brings strong experience managing high-volume, multi-state payroll operations with precision and consistency. The role will focus on ensuring accurate employee compensation, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting a smooth payroll process across both hourly and salaried populations.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer end-to-end payroll processing in Paycom for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring each pay cycle is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee payroll activities across multiple states while applying current wage, tax, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage payroll for a large employee population and maintain a high standard of accuracy in all calculations and payments.
  • Review, update, and audit payroll records, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  • Coordinate closely with HR, finance, and other internal partners to investigate and resolve payroll variances and employee questions.
  • Support critical payroll timelines and help maintain continuity during a scheduled payroll transition period.
  • Monitor payroll data for inconsistencies and take corrective action before finalizing payroll submissions.
