Job Summary The Payroll Administrator II is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. This role handles payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions, while ensuring all payroll-related updates are processed accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
End to end payroll processing for assigned locations, including time collection, auditing, file preparation, data entry, and file imports. Process payroll adjustments, ACH transactions, and manual checks. Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy of wage and tax information. Assist in resolving escalated payroll issues. Perform additional payroll-related functions including processing or verification of new hires, transfers, terminations, status changes, tax updates, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposits. Generate, audit, and distribute payroll and management reports. Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws, regulations, and guidelines. Respond to payroll-related questions from operations teams and employees. Collect, verify, and input payroll data into the payroll system. Perform payroll reconciliations and audits during each pay cycle. Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of payroll or related experience required. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of payroll software and systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Proficient data entry and 10-key skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred. Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Multi-site and multi-state payroll processing. High-volume payroll processing. Quick service restaurant (QSR) payroll. Bilingual skills are a plus.
