In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes with precision, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees across various departments. Your expertise will support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while maintaining seamless integration with our HRIS and accounting systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization by overseeing payroll management and related accounting functions. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Reconcile payroll data through detailed account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries within general ledger accounting systems like PeopleSoft or Ceridian Manage benefits administration and employee data entry within HRIS platforms, maintaining up-to-date records for all staff Prepare and review tax filings, including withholding taxes and other statutory deductions, ensuring adherence to governmental accounting standards Collaborate with human resources to verify employee information, benefits enrollment, and timekeeping records Conduct analysis of payroll reports, accounts payable/receivable transactions, and benefit costs to support financial reporting and decision-making Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions, including debits & credits, in compliance with non-profit accounting or governmental accounting requirements when applicable Skills Proficiency in payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or Ceridian is essential Strong understanding of accounting principles including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits, and bookkeeping practices Experience with financial software like QuickBooks or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing and benefits administration Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail (10 key typing) Ability to analyze complex financial data and generate clear reports for management review Familiarity with human resources systems (HRIS) and benefits administration processes Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Join us in this vital role where your expertise will ensure smooth payroll operations while supporting our organization's commitment to accuracy and compliance.
