  • Contract We're looking for a detail‑driven Payroll & Accounting Specialist to support payroll operations and core accounting activities.
This role handles multi‑state payroll, assists with financial processes, and partners closely with HR and leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities Process bi‑weekly, off‑cycle, and monthly payroll for U.S. and international employees Review timecards, resolve discrepancies, and support system updates Maintain compliance with payroll regulations across multiple states Perform payroll audits, reconcile reports, and address complex issues Track leaves of absence and related benefit activity Maintain payroll records and respond to employee inquiries Process manual checks and assist with incentive/bonus calculations Support accounting with G/L reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and reporting Track sales tax exemption documentation in Avalara Collaborate with HR, managers, and accounting teams on ongoing needs Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi‑state; manufacturing a plus Experience with Paylocity and strong Excel skills Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software Strong understanding of payroll regulations and best practices High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Effective communication and organizational skills All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
