Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Processor to join our growing construction team. This role is responsible for processing weekly payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is deadline-driven, highly organized, discreet with confidential information, and experienced in construction payroll, including prevailing wage requirements. We are looking for a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage payroll operations with accuracy, professionalism, and integrity.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of payroll processing experience Construction payroll experience required Experience with prevailing wage payroll required Proficiency in QuickBooks and intermediate Excel skills Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws Knowledge of employment and labor laws, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills Professional judgment and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Spanish-speaking is a plusResponsibilities Include:
Process weekly payroll for 100+ employees accurately and on time Review employee timesheets and enter payroll data into QuickBooks Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax requirements Manage payroll deductions including garnishments, tax levies, benefits, and retirement contributions Maintain employee paid time off records including vacation, sick leave, and leaves of absence Process new hire onboarding, employee status changes, and terminations Maintain accurate employee records and reporting documentation Assist with W-2 preparation, payroll audits, payroll corrections, and recalculations Support workers' compensation reporting and compliance procedures Develop and implement HR policies aligned with employment laws, OSHA standards, and company best practicesBenefits:
