This contract position with potential for permanency is ideal for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll activities across multiple states while maintaining compliance with tax and wage regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with high-volume payroll processing, and the ability to work effectively with payroll systems and timekeeping records.
Responsibilities:

  • Administer multi-state payroll activities, including proper handling of earnings, deductions, withholdings, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  • Review employee timekeeping records for accuracy, follow up on discrepancies, and ensure approved hours are reflected correctly in payroll runs.
  • Use payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity to process payroll transactions, maintain records, and support reporting needs.
  • Calculate and validate payroll-related adjustments, including bonuses, corrections, and other special payments as needed.
  • Monitor payroll tax withholdings and support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Maintain organized payroll documentation and respond to employee and internal team questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll records.
