Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join a team in California for a contract opportunity with permanent potential. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and brings solid experience handling union payroll with a high degree of accuracy. The role centers on high-volume payroll support, careful record maintenance, and timely coordination with internal partners to ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Enter and update large volumes of payroll information accurately while maintaining consistent turnaround times.
  • Administer payroll for union employees by applying contract terms, pay rules, and related deductions correctly.
  • Examine timesheets, earnings, tax withholdings, and pay adjustments to confirm complete and accurate payroll processing.
  • Maintain organized payroll files and employee records while safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies, support audit activities, and help resolve payment-related issues promptly.
  • Partner with internal departments to gather, verify, and clarify payroll details needed for processing.
  • Contribute to meeting recurring payroll deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Use payroll applications and Excel to track data, validate entries, and support reporting needs.
