Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Walnut, California. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in payroll processing and a keen understanding of multi-state payroll, union specifics, and compliance regulations. Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle payroll adjustments, including overtime calculations, supplemental wages, profit-sharing, and bonus processing.
  • Manage garnishments, workers' compensation, and related payroll deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other payroll software to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
  • Create and analyze Excel spreadsheets with pivot tables to support payroll and reporting tasks.
  • Post payroll entries and reclassify transactions in the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with team members to address payroll-related inquiries and provide solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including proper handling of tax rates for bonuses and supplemental wages.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations to support best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to optimize payroll operations and reporting.
