Job Description
Environmental Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Denver, CO. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, certified payroll reporting, and maintaining precise employee payroll records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in QuickBooks, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process payroll in compliance with federal and state regulations Manage weekly timecards for new and existing employees using QuickBooks Audit timesheets and resolve discrepancies or irregularities Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to various agencies Review GPS reports for field crews and reconcile inconsistencies Track and maintain employee leave accruals (vacation, sick time, etc.) Support payroll audits by entering and verifying payroll data in Excel Provide timely support for employee payroll-related inquiries Maintain and update payroll records, files, and databases Process expense reports and implement necessary pay adjustments Ensure all payroll records are accurate and compliant with company policies and accounting standards Organize and file payroll-related documentation Assist in preparing monthly AIA billing in collaboration with Project Managers Qualifications Experience in payroll processing, preferably in construction Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (daily use required) Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent organizational and communication skills
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.25 per hourBenefits:
